Property Law
Property law and conveyancing (the transfer of properties) is the centre-point of TTC’s practice. Tim, qualified as a conveyancer in 1973 and Ian in 1995. Both these partners have largely concentrated on that aspect of law ever since their respective admissions to the High Court.
Conveyancing includes not only the preparation of documents for submission to the Deed Registry, but also includes submission to ZIMRA of the necessary documentation to obtain Capital Gains Tax clearance certificate for the seller, handling all financial aspects of each transaction and, where the seller is a non-resident or is emigrating from Zimbabwe, to apply to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) for approval to externalise funds.
We also interact with the estate agents involved in any transaction, and with the parties themselves to hammer out and agree on all terms and conditions of each agreement of sale.
TTC also handles all aspects of property developments such as Sectional Title, Cluster homes, subdivisions and consolidations.
